Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my sponsorship page for this, my most challenging and intimidating event yet - the Brathay 10in10.
For updates about how I'm getting on with my training, which involves running lots of other marathons and various ultra events between now and May 2013, and to read my story about how I got into running, you can visit my blog www.naominf.com or follow me on twitter @naominf
Although I've been taking part in marathons for a few years now, nothing I've ever done has even come close to this - running 10 marathons on 10 consecutive days, around England's largest lake, Lake Windermere. Yep...I'm running 262 miles and by taking on this challenge, I hope to raise at least £3,000 for the Brathay Trust who support disadvantaged children in the UK.
Obviously, this is going to be a massive challenge for me to complete, both physically and psychologically, but I think that raising money for a charity that I really believe in, will help me through the 2000-odd miles I'll be running in training, and the event itself!
So - please help me to raise as much as possible for the Brathay Trust to ensure they can continue the amazing work they do, and also to support me, as I undertake this adventure, by sponsoring me - please dig deep and donate as much as you can, to help make a difference.
Brathay inspires and supports disadvantaged and vulnerable young people across Britain, helping to improve and transform their lives - the charity does fantastic things for these children, creating a tangible difference to their lives now, and to the lives they will have as adults.
I was tremendously lucky to have some great opportunities and experiences as a child and while I was growing up I was surrounded by some truely inspirational people. My experiences then have, without a doubt, influenced everything about the person that I have become and the choices that I've made, so I can recognise just how important the work is that Brathay does with children who, through circumstance, don't have the same sort of opportunities that I had. This is why I'm really proud to be raising money for them.
So, it just remains for me to say again, please, please sponsor me to help make all of this effort of running 262 miles truely worthwhile.
Thank-you so much,
Naomi
