Nursing an inury at the mo-too much running on old bones!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Most of you who visit this page will know the reason why I am running the Great South Run this year despite my profound loathing of running!!
Although it seems like a lifetime ago now I was diagnosed with AML in June 2006 and achieved remission and completion of my treatment in March 2007. At the time my children were just six and eight and they became the focus of my determination to face what was to come. My biggest fear was leaving my children without a mother but thankfully the wonderful work done by charities like Leukaemia Research are contributing to improving the outcome for people like me and all adults and children affected by leukaemia, lymphomas and myelomas. In addition they provide valuable information and support resources for patients and their loved ones.
This is my way of thanking them and every one who helped me and my family through that difficult time including all the dedicated staff at QA Hospital, a small challenge to remember and give thanks for succeeding in my lifes' biggest challenge.
I would be very grateful for any donation people feel able to give.
