Story
In April 2007 I took part in the Flora London Marathon. My goal was very simple - get around the course in less than 5 and a half hours. 7h hours, 57 minutes and 15 seconds later I limped across the finishing line a much wiser person (and with a broken foot!)..... My goal for Edinburgh 2009 is even more basic - I want to finish, and to finish with the same number of bones that I started with! I' glad I 'did' London, because I learnt something important about life that day, and thus came across my now-favourite sermon illustration! But this time.....
So, why Epilepsy Action? Some of you readng this will already know the answer to that so I'll be brief. 1 in 131 people have epilepsy (it doesn't deserve a capital letter), and I'm one of them. The general public's attitute towards epilepsy has changed beyond all recognition over the last 50 years, because of the information available from charities like this one. Informaton, and above all, support.
So please, if you can, lend them a hand.
