Story

It seemed like such a good idea to start with.... 3 mountains, 3,000 metres of ascent, 26 miles walking, 11 hours driving all in 24 hours.

What: National 3 Peaks Challenge - Snowdon, Scarfell Pike and Ben Nevis. Summiting the highest points in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours.

When: 30th June 2012 - 6am start!

Why: To raise funds for Edale Mountain Rescue Team, one of the busiest teams in the UK and based down the road in the Peak District. All members are volunteers, on call 24/7 to help those in need. Whether you have slipped in the mud, fallen off a climbing crag, got lost, ditched your car in a pile of snow they will come out and help - even on Christmas Day! Mountain Rescue teams receive no government funding and rely on donations to cover all their costs, you never know when you might need their help so please help me raise some much needed funds!
