Liverpool Memory Walk · 29 September 2019 ·
I'm walking in memory of my Grandad Arthur Webster who suffered from Alzheimer's. I was only a young child when he died but I know that the last years of his life were no life for him at all and I want to help fund the research so others don't have to suffer.
The diagnosis of Dementia can happen to anyone at anytime and can result in the disappearance of a loved one as we know them, right in front of our eyes and there's nothing we can do to help them or change this. We need to fund the research into this terrible illness to try and stop it or at least help those who are living with it.
You may not have experienced anyone living with this illness, and I hope that you never do. Please find it in your heart to donate some money towards this charity and support my memory walk. No matter what size donation you give - it will help to make a difference and I thank you for that.
Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year, that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money, saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Let's take on dementia together. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
