Story

Hi, after last years 10 by 10 challenge where the four of us raised £4197 for the Red Cross 'Rapid Response Van Appeal' we are embarking on a new and tougher challenge for 2008.

This years nominated charity is Marie Curie Cancer Care and we are planning to ride on our motorbikes round all 12 SPL grounds and Hampden Park on September 8th (Hopefully this year with no rain or hailstorms ;.) and raise even more money for Marie Curie.  This year we will have two extra companions in Joe Vettese and  Maurice Jamieson.

Please see the photo on the left where we have the actual Red Cross van in the background that we helped raise money for and our Red Cross national acheivers finalist certificate that we won this Febuary for our trip last year.

We were very proud to help raise the money for the van and also to be associated with such a fantastic charity as the Red Cross. It was also very comforting to learn that it had been to 50 incidents this year already to help support families who had been involved in tradegies from Road traffic accidents to Fire. All our 'donators' can equally feel as proud for helping us raise this money for such a fab cause. Thankyou so much, every pound really does help.

In the picture are Far left: Joe Vettese (and his gorgeous GSXR750 at the front), Middle left: Duncan Carroll, Front Left: Jayne Forbes (Red Cross senior fundraiser), Front right: Mark Falconer, Middle right: Richard Drewett, Far right: Simon Thompson.

Maurice was there with us in spirit and motorcycling love ;.)

The route is still to be decided (Dependant on who gets promoted and relegated this season) but it will be longer than last year in both mileage and time so please dig deep and help us raise as much money as we can for Marie Curie.

Please see last years total at http://www.justgiving.com/tenbyten

We'd also like to thank the following companies and people for their support with both last years and this years challenge.
