Story
Ive shaved my face for Movember and will be growing a moustache until December when I hope to once more hide behind my greying beard.
Movember was founded to raise awareness and money for Prostate cancer. But I would like to do it for Great Ormond Street Hospital instead especially as they have had some setbacks recently.
My daughter Christina was born two months premature with Down Syndrome and a life threatening condition that had to be operated on almost as soon as she left the womb.
We were lucky to be taken Great Ormond Street Hospital where they looked after Christina and in a way looked after me. I was torn between home with my eldest daughter, the Royal Free Hospital where my wife was recovering from the Ceasarian and GOSH where Christina was having her life saved. GOSH were able to provide me with a bed so that I could spend the nights with Christina until she was fully recovered.
Thanks to Great Ormond Street Hospital Christina is a happy little monster causing mayhem and destruction and making everyone she meets fall in love with her.
I would like Great Ormond Street Hospital to continue to provide the sort of care that it provided for me and Christina. The hospital needs to raise £50 million every year to keep it going. That sounds like rather a lot, so I guess every little helps.
