Mo in my memory
Fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK
Fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
As some of you are aware i am doing various things to fundraise in memory of a very special lady Morag McManus. Mo was taken away from us after a battle with what started as bowel cancer on Friday the 17th of April 2009.
She will be missed by many including her family with wonderful husband Alan, devoted son Andrew and so many grateful friends, grateful for the fact they had the priveledge to get to know such a warm hearted friendly cheery lady. Morag was always happy and whenever i picture her face in my head it was always with a smile.
My fundraising has been going on for just short of 2 years now and i have already raised over £1000 and still going. This includes the sales of homemade headset bags for those of us working at NHS Direct, sponsored chest wax, cake sales, book sales and there are more things planned in the pipeline for this coming year.
My initial target was £1000 to get to by Christmas 2010 of which i met and then i hope to hand this over and then in smaller amounts thereafter.
The reason for me creating my Justgiving page is to give those of you who cant participate in my fundraising activities to still show your support and donate anything you can afford to help towards my efforts. Every penny counts.
May i also add that a percentage of the money i raise i will also donate to St Catherines Hospice in Lancashire too as they helped Morag and supported Alan through their difficult time. £560 so far has gone to St Catherines.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bowel Cancer UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
