I went to the HODU ward at Airedale General Hospital 5 years ago when my Dad Kaspar Fuchs was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer - they were fantastic throughout my Dad's treatment and even though the Ward has been updated I now find myself as a patient having been diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the end of June.

So now the HODU ward has now become my home every 3 weeks for my dose of chemotherapy. It is such a welcoming place and the only thing that I think that patients could do with is more of the electric reclining chairs as they are so comfy when you are on a lengthy session of chemo.

So throughout the year next year once my treatment is over I will be running and fundraising to raise enough to get a reclining chair for the ward.
