We run affordable performing arts classes to nurture young people's creativity

Story

Midweek Medley has teamed up with Westfield Presents to launch the new Westfield Presents: Midweek Medley Busking Session (Westfield Shepherds Bush), which aims to shed light on musical talent offering a unique edge to their music. Line-up includes upcoming UK artists Adeola Osho, Craig Webb, 85Decibel and Stevie T, who are all ready to add that extra buzz to your shopping trip.

We will be raising money for Wac Arts , where many of the artists, who have performed at Midweek Medley started developing their skills. It is a performing arts and media school that has been running since 1978, more than 35 years, and is a charity organisation that empowers young people to change their world through a range of arts and media activities. Amongst its Alumni WAC Arts counts 1996 Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe nominee Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Secrets & Lies), 2004 Oscar nominee Sophie Okenedo (Hotel Rwanda), world famous jazz musicians Courtney Pine and Julian Joseph and four Mercury and Mobo Award winners including Ms Dynamite and Zoe Rahman.

WAC Arts is an organisation that many of us are honoured to be part of and we would like to see it grow and continue to improve the lives of young people.
