Story
We’re Michelle Christmas and Laura Batchelor, and we’re supporting the fantastic work carried out at the Marie Curie Hospice in Penarth, by trekking up
Mount
Toubkal in the Atlas Mountains, during October 2007.
The Trek not only provides a physical challenge – trekking for up to eight hours a day over three days, it’s 4167 metres up to the top of Mount Toubkal. The ultimate aim of this mission is to raise £3000 for the Hospice, and we’d dearly love you to support us.
Every hour of every day, the charity is making a real difference to the lives of people with cancer and their families across the country, both within hospices like the one at Penarth, but also out in the community helping people in their own homes.
The Penarth Hospice costs £2.2 million pounds a year to run and support over 500 patients and their families at a time in their lives when they need it most – and this service is completely free for those who use it.
Their care totally relies upon the generosity of many thousands of people every year to raise funds and volunteer their support, and this is why we are looking for your help.
We’d love for you to help us climb that mountain and support Marie Curie, so please donate using the link below…and look out for the upcoming events!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
