Story
September is Blood Cancer Awareness month and as a survivor I want to honour this by raising money for a charity that's close to my heart. The work they do is incredible and I see first hand what they can do for patients, their friends and family as well as the medical profession.
104 people are diagnosed with blood cancer every single day - be it Lymphoma, Leukaemia, Myeloma, Waldenström's Macroglobulinemia, MDS etc making it the 5th most common cancer in the country.
I want to raise awareness of it and I also want everyone to be as lucky as I am and survive it so please donate as much or as little as you can and motivate me to do this horrendously hilly half marathon. I really don't like hills!
I'm doing this for my friend Elliott who recently had a transplant for Myeloma and doing incredibly well in his recovery and for a friend who passed away from Lymphoma a couple of years back.
