Dear Supporters,
We are now back from the race. I must admit that our team underestimated the might of the 7 mountains and the unrelenting undulating terrain the mountains threw at us.
After 18 hours, 55km, 5 checkpoints, 1 box of Panadol (Graham only), we made the painful decision to quit and disappoint all of you who have generously supported us - before Graham starts to go crazy from Panadol overdose and before his knee starts to hurt more than the decision for us to quit.
We will attempt to go back again, this time more prepared. We thank you on behalf of the Myanmar cyclone victims. OXFAM was and still is actively bringing aid to the affected families even as we read this.

Hello Friends,
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Cyn Yi had withdrawn from the race due to health reasons following the doctor's advise. However, as with the true spirit of sportsmanship, she will still be accompanying us to the race and provide her support for our team. Our team will look forward to see her smiling face and the cold beverages and yummy food she will be preparing for us at the finish line.
Teh Tong Kheng will be replacing her as the 4th member and go the distance.
The 5 of us continue to ask you to pledge to our cause and help the unfortunate children in Sudan.

Dear Friends and Supporters,
We have raised the minimum amount of donations required for us to participate (£600). Therefore you can be sure that we will be going to participate in the 100km Challange. HOORAH!!!
However, we have not hit our personal target of £2,000. The reason our team set a higher target for ourselves than necessary is because we really want to make this a meaningful activity and moment in our lives. We want the poor to benefit from our efforts and not put in a haphazard effort just because we want to participate in this event for our own gratification.
We continue to ask those who have not supported us to do so.

As such, we thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
The four of us friends will be embarking on a challenging 100km mountain trail race from 16 -18 May 2008 in Japan. Details of the race are at http://www.trailwalker.jp/en/
The objective of this challenge is to "race" fund for the OXFAM charity which is "...an independent development and relief agency that works in around 100 countries....in partnership with local organizations to help people living in extreme poverty and to achieve lasting change, lifting people out of poverty."
In addition to helping the poor, other reasons to donate to OXFAM through us are:-
1. You want to see us suffer the 100km and therefore want us to meet the minimum amount of donation required so that we qualify to take part.
2. You want us to feel guilty that you have donated your child's milk money to support us and that will push us further whenever we feel like giving up.
3. You owe one of us money but rather give to the poor than pay us back!
4. Paying to see 4 jokers sweating it out is more entertaining than paying for a Jackie Chan & Jet Lee kung fu movie.
5. You think we are good looking. Hey people often donate to beautiful celebs doing stunts. Think Presidents charity challenge.
6. You think we are ugly. That's why we need to do this to find some meaning in our ugly life while the beautiful people sip Starbucks coffee in a trendy street.
7. You just want to make us stop bugging you for a donation. "TAKE THE MONEY and GET LOST!"
8. You want to donate before we start singing on the streets. "Slience is better than our singing!"
This is an entirely self sponsored event. The team members pay for their own Race Registration fee, Air ticket, Food, Accomodation, Transport and Equipment costs.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Oxfam will receive your money faster. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
Your donation will go directly to OXFAM organization, none of the money will come to us.
So please sponsor us now! The deadline for donations is 7 May 2008.
Many thanks for your support.
