Thank you for visiting Mayumi's website to raise money for the victims of Japan's recent earthquake and tsunami which struck on Friday 11th March 2011 affecting the North East coast of the country.

 

I am Mayumi, a Japanese citizen who currently lives in the UK. I intend to raise funds for those affected by one of the worst earthquakes and tsunamis in our history.

 

Thanks to all those who donated and to Manchester Evening News, we have raised over £3,000 so far. There are still thousands of people who are waiting for water, foods and blankets. Your continuous help is much appreciated.

 

The charity I chose is a Japanese emergency response team 'civic force', that was established after the Niigata Earthquake in 2004 to provide faster and more effective disaster relief by cooperating closely with Non Government Organisations, the business community and the government of Japan.

3月11日の東日本大震災の寄付サイト「Don't give up Japan! Japanese Earthquake & Tsunami」へお立ち寄り頂き、ありがとうございます。

 

現在、イギリス在住ですが、東北地方太平洋沖地震の混乱が続く中、少しでも被災地の復興の助けになればという思いから、このチャリティを始めました。

現在、寄付して頂いた皆様及びイギリスの新聞社マンチェスター・イブニング・ニュースのご協力で、すでに3,000ポンド（約40万円）以上の寄付金が集まりました。心よりお礼申し上げます。現地では今も、水や食料、毛布などが不足しているとのことですので、これからもご協力、宜しくお願いいたします。
