Story
I've been coaxed out of retirement to do the Triathlon once again to support the great work of the charity Aplastic Anaemia Trust.I have questioned my sanity, but think it's worth one last hurrah as the Aplastic Anaemia Trust supports people who suffer from the bone marrow disease aplastic anaemia, a disease as common as leukaemia and just as deadly. The AAT is the only charity committed to this cause so I think a little bit of my pain for a whole lot of their gain is worth while.
The Triathlon commences with a 1km swim in the Serpentine, a cheeky 10km trot around Hyde Park and then we're off to Paris to on the French traffic with a cycle around the outskirts of the city. I can tell you from experience it won't be the famous French onions bringing tears to my eyes as I get reacquainted with my trusty saddle! Oo la la.
So, could you please support me via the medium of the good old fashion Pounds Sterling? Fundraising is our game and I, but more importantly the sufferers of AAT, would be much appreciative of your support. To put in context, a glass of wine, continuing a pseudo French theme, costs a £5er, so if you could for go just one or two tipples you could be doing a lot of good for those less fortunate than you.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
