Blesma, The Limbless Veterans helps all serving and ex-Service men and women who have lost limbs, or lost the use of limbs or eyes, to rebuild their lives by providing rehabilitation activities and welfare support.

Story

It took us a little over 26 hours to complete the race, but it's all over now!  The weather was relatively kind and both Dan and I were very satisfied with the result.  We managed a pleasing 87th place out of the 130-odd that managed to finish; about 40 could not stay the course.

Many, many thanks must go to our inspirational support crews who did a fantastic job and without whom we would have been scuppered.  All those who turned up to cheer from the bank also kept our morale high.  Thank you.

With the bulk of the Marines recently deployed to Afghanistan now back in Blighty, some stories of their efforts and the sacrifices some have made are filtering back.  BLESMA will need your support and on behalf of the charity, I would like to thank you all for you generosity.
