Story

Cheers for visiting my fundraising page (that's me lifting a glass to your generosity over on the left of this page).

I'm asking everyone to put their hands in their pockets and dig deep and maybe even dislodge some of those moths in their old wallets ;-)

I've been inspired to participate in this enterprise by the hard work and dedication of my close friend Diane, who lost her mother to bowel cancer thirteen years ago. Dianes shining example of tireless charity work has gotten me off of my backside and will eventually lead to me slogging long and hard in China in the new year (2008).

The China Trek is a huge challenge with lots of physical exercise, walking over mountains and trails, so I'm already in training. I also hope to shed a quite a few pounds on this epic journey - even before we reach China. For all those of you who contribute through Just Giving and leave your email address I'm hoping to post you regular updates each month to give you a taste of how things are proceeding.

We have a large target to meet. So, if you can, please pass this address on to your friends to ensure that we raise as much as possible.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Beating Bowel Cancer will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
