Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page
On the 21 November 2014 I will be undergoing my biggest challenge to date, I will be attempting a gruelling 18 day trek to Everest Base camp all in aid of my chosen Charity, Diabetes UK
At a mind blowing 29,035 Ft (8848m) Mount Everest is the tallest mountain in the world, even at base camp its 17,598 ft (5,364m) where oxygen in one third less than it is at sea level.
The main reason for choosing Diabetes is because unfortunately my Dad was diagnosed with this condition 10 years ago and so was my uncle 3 years ago.
Diabetes UK is the leading charity that cares for, connects with and campaigns on behalf of every person affected by or at risk of diabetes. There are currently 3.8 million people in the UK with diabetes, including an estimated 850,000 people who have Type 2 diabetes but do not know it. We help people manage their diabetes effectively by providing information, advice and support. We campaign with people with diabetes and with healthcare professionals to improve the quality of care across the UK’s health services.
The charity is for such a good cause, I politely ask any donations however small would be hugely appreciated for this great charity.
Thanks for your time
