Story

I am fortunate to have been given the opportunity to take part in Charlie's Big Challenge at the end of January 2014. Charlie will be running 250 miles in 7 days, visiting 40 football clubs on the way, raising awareness about domestic violence against women and children. Some people might recognise Charlie as she works for Sky Sports but she does amazing work for a number of charities and is a Women's Aid ambassador. Charlie hopes to raise £100,000 and hopefully I can help her reach that target.

I will be running days 1 and 2 which covers 78.2 miles and 10 football grounds. 3 marathons in 2 days basically! I have ran marathons for Women's Aid before and with the support of family, friends and work colleagues I've been able to raise much needed funds for them. I can't stress how appreciative of any donations Women's Aid are which is why I want to continue supporting Women's Aid in any way I can. It's estimated that 1.2 million women are victims of domestic abuse every year and while figures crease, budget cuts means refuges are struggling to cope.

I realise that Christmas is near and that money is tight for people but if you could help by sponsoring me, Charlie or any of the team, no matter how much, it would be very much appreciated!

Thanks, Matt
