Have a Heart is proud to announce its new name: Make Some Noise – we will help disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Thanks to your support, we have grown over the years and we will continue to help those affected by illness, disability, bereavement or lack of opportunity.

Story

Hello, welcome and a huge thank you for being here.

This year I'm running for the Have a Heart charity.  This is what they do.

Have a Heart's aim is to make a difference to the lives of less advantaged children living in your local community.  Whether through illness, disability, poverty or social exclusion, Have a Heart wants to help children have the childhood that they deserve.

Have a Heart is a grant giving charity, working with national charity partners who deliver their work on a local level.  For the first Have a Heart Appeal earlier this year, Have a Heart granted £400,000 to the Starlight Children’s Foundation. This money will enable Starlight to provide over 100 new Have a Heart Starlight Fun Centres to children’s wards in hospitals and hospices across the UK.  During their lifetime these new Fun Centres will be used by over 2,500,000 children.  In addition the money raised by Have a Heart will enable Starlight to grant over 60 more magical Starlight wishes – making children’s dreams come true.

No words from me can properly convey the difference even the smallest donation will make.  So I will just say 'thank you'.

Thank you (oh and don't forget to Gift Aid)
