Story

Hey all!

Thanks for stopping by. I've been working hard at my training for the New York City Marathon  on 2 November 2008, and it will be here very soon. This will be my 5th marathon and my first one  running for a cause.

I chose the Hepatitis C Trust because it's personal. Over 20 years ago my sister had a life saving operation and needed blood transfusions. At that time routine  blood testing wasn't done, and it wasn't until several years later it was discovered she had contracted  the Hepatitis C Virus. I only learned about her condition last year while we were having a phone conversation and I mentioned running to help in research for the illness.

You can help my sister and others receiving information and support about this illness with your donation. It's simple, fast and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Hepatitis C Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

For those of you across the pond, you too can be a part of my NYC Marathon adventure! So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support and the best to each of you.

Mary
