Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Just before Christmas, I learned that I have secured a place in this year’s London Marathon.  I have been debating running a marathon for some time, but finally decided it was now or never!  Although I wasn’t selected in the public ballot, the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) has awarded me one of their charity places.  The condition of getting the place is, of course, that I need to raise a significant amount of money for the institute.  As many of you will be aware, ICR is a superb organisation, conducting agenda-setting research into the causes and treatment of cancer.  The money I raise will go directly into supporting the highest quality fundamental research and will therefore be very well used.  I would be very grateful if you would give as generously as you can.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: ICR gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Thanks in advance, Martin
