Story
We are running the Great South Run for Toby (our brother and son), who died at 26 of Sudden Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP), having been previously well. We miss him terribly and find it impossible to believe he is not here to enjoy his life with his friends and family. SUDEP takes the lives of between 500 and 800 young people each year, usually in their sleep. Very little is known about it - and good research needs to be done. Epilepsy Bereaved is a small charity which supports grieving relatives and is trying hard to stimulate such research in an area shockingly ignored. It desperately deserves your support.
Toby's close friend Jo has introduced us to this run, which happens near where she lives. She is doing it for Epilepsy Research UK, having raised lots of money for Toby by running the 2011 London Marathon. She is amazing and we want to be there with her, running as hard as we can, raising as much as we can and, above all, remembering Toby.
