UPDATE!
The first attempt did not go well and I was beaten by the weather. I spent the longest, most miserable day sat in a wooden structure they had the cheek to call a cafe from 8am until 6pm, when they then took pity on me and decided I didnt deserve any more.
Could have been worse - I could have been Rich who came over all the way from Sheffield to watch me, only to spend a precious day off sat with a miserable moaning git!
I felt sorry for Ben who actually got his jumpsuit on and was within touching distance of the plane when they cancelled! That must have been frustrating!
The three of us got a proxy degree in meteorological studies by gauging wind speed by trees and rainfall by cloud colour.
I have re booked to do it all again on Friday the 5th of June! Cant wait!
The reason for this note to you is that I hope you take pity on me and if you have not yet sponsored me ( I have paid for this myself - all money raised will go directly to charity), you will now consider it. If you have been generous enough to sponsor me - THANK YOU!
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
In celebration of my upcoming 40th birthday I have decided to tick one of my ambitions off my list, which is to throw myself out of a perfectly good aeroplane and hope that I don't plummet to my death!
If I am going to do this, it would be great to raise money for my companies (Wickes) nominated charity Leukaemia Research. A fantastic and worthwhile cause dedicated to eradicating blood cancer.
I am paying all of the fees myself so all the money that you kindly donate will go directly to the cause. Please sponsor me and help me raise my personal target of £500. With around eight weeks to go it is a big ask I know, but it will give me the courage to go through with it.
I know that times are hard at the moment, so every donation, small or large will be greatly appreciated.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Leukaemia Research gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thank you in advance!
