Story

This all come about when Ian Lambert introduced me to Chris Hawkes who had set up Born Ready Runners in Battle. A local running group that was trying to raise £1000 for NCCA (Children with Cancer). 2013 was a year full of 5k and 10k races with a few Half Marathons thrown in near the end of 2013. Over a few pints with Chris we decided a Marathon was the pinnacle required to get you good people to donate more money in 2014. So hence Brighton Marathon.

I don't need to describe the winter weather we have just had, but we where out training in it, at worst 3 hours in possibly the worst storm on 2014. Crazy, Mad! yep been told, but the pain and time is insignificant to what these poor children have to fight daily. NCCA is the charity that helps fund the operations required in either America or Germany, sometimes up to £250,000 is required and these families simply don't have the funds.

I will soon be a father myself and I cannot imagine what it would be to be told that your child has cancer and our own NHS wont help. Id sell my soul if it meant they could have the treatment.

The work that the NCCA does is amazing, and if we can help just a little, it will mean a lot to those families effected.
