As a Patron of the Children’s Hospital Charity in Sheffield, I have challenged myself, together with 21 others, to take part in a trek across China in September 2011 in order to raise much needed funds for the hospital. 

 

Having played cricket for 18 years I felt it was time to push my boundaries and face a new challenge. 

 

The Trek follows the Great Wall of China through woodland and terraced farmland, along the contours of beautiful hills and mountains in remote areas of Beijing. Our group will be on the road for 7 days from the 17th to 23rd September.

Sheffield Children’s Hospital constantly needs funding to maintain its reputation as an outstanding centre for the prevention and cure of childhood illnesses.
