Lymphoma...have you heard of it?

Up until a few months ago very few of us had, now it has suddenly become a part of our lives!

Just a few facts about Lymphoma:

·         Currently the 6^th most common cancer diagnosed in the UK

·         The most common cancer affecting people aged 15 – 30

·         An estimated 60,000 in the UK are currently living with Lymphoma

The Lymphoma association was founded in 1986 by patients, and is currently the only specialist UK charity that produces accurate medical information and support to lymphatic cancer patients, their families, friends and carers.

The association offers an array of support, including help lines, buddy programmes, literature and support groups.  All of these are made possible by donations that the association receives.

This year we (Nicola, Helen, Lucie, Kate, Becka and Leanne) have decided to take part in the British 10K London run in support of the Lymphoma Association and the work that they do and we are asking for your help. 

Over the coming weeks we will be keeping this site updated on our training progress and each be putting on messages so please do check back to see how we are getting on.
