Story
In November, my girlfriend Kiera's little brother Rafi had a brain hemorrhage which has seen him hospitalised since. Obviously, this was heartbreaking but thanks to the amazing work of all the staff at Sheffield Children's Hospital, he's made huge improvements and will continue to do so. There's still a long road ahead but we're all hopeful that he'll make a full recovery, and get back to being the friendly, lively and hilarious Raf that everyone loves.
In an effort to show appreciation for everything that's being done for Rafi and his family, I'll be taking part in a 10k run to fundraise for this amazing charity. Anyone who knows me will know that this is a big deal, seeing as I haven't exercised at all for at least 5 years.
Hopefully you'll be able to donate even the tiniest amount towards the cause; anything you can spare could mean the world to Rafi, or indeed anybody affected by the hospital's care.
Kiera's fundraising page can be found at http://www.justgiving.com/runforrafi
Also, Rafi's mum Jackie has a photoblog charting Rafi's progress. If you're interested to know how he's getting on, visit http://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2505406.
It's very moving to see, and the amount of support the family is receiving from this online community is truly overwhelming.
