Story
I have decided to ride my bike to Aberystwyth in Wales to raise money for my Uncle Dave's treatment. The route is over 200 miles long and takes me over some mountainous stretches. I'll be cycling there with my dad leaving for Wales on the 26th October.
My Uncle Dave has stage IV (metastatic) colorectal cancer. He's 31. He was diagnosed (February 2010) with a large malignant tumour at the last bend of his colon, 1 month later 3 tumours in the liver, plus 5 months ago 30 or so small but growing tumours in the lungs. According to stats from the NHS that diagnosis of Stage IV colorectal cancer gives him just a 5% chance of survival beyond 5 years. Well, not him! As far as Dave is concerned "I am going to be one to buck the trend"
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I'd really appreciate any help you can give, your donations will go towards helping to pay the cost of Dave's treatment.
Thank you
Louis
