Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am now in my 60th year and want to do something a little different to raise money for Make A Wish, a charity that I volunteer for and totally believe in. However I do not think one should ask for sponsorship if the task is too easy, it should be a challenge.
My challenge to myself is to jump off the tallest freestanding building in the Southern Hemisphere, this is the Sky Tower in Auckland,New Zealand. I will 'step' off and plummet 192m (630ft) and land on a bullseye in just over 11 seconds!
It so happens I will be in Auckland for one day on the 18th February and this is when I will face my fears -yes, I do not like heights.
Make A Wish provides wishes for children suffering from life threatening illnesses and I have seen first hand the difference a wish makes not only to the child but to the whole family.
Wishes that I have been involved with have varied from holidays, meeting their heroes, computers,TV's, being Princesses, Firemen, room makeovers, shopping and even a party for family and friends. All made magical by the hard working team at the Head Office in Camberley.
