Story
Thank you for visiting this Just Giving Web Site in Aid of HELP for HEROES. Peter Howe (The Dad) was inspired in 2008 acting as the support team for his eldest son Tim, whilst completing the Lands End to John o'Groats cycle ride. Pete thought he would like to give something back to our injured Soldiers on the front line. So therefore Peter's IVC team, Miltary Soldiers and friends are taking on the challenge in August 2010 and cycling the whole length of Great Britain 955.77 miles in 11 Days.
HELP for HEROES was launched in October 2007 by a group of friends and service relations who wished to do something to help the wounded coming back from and . HELP for HEROES is very simple; they are strictly non political, accept that wars happen under any government and simply want to help. Our young men and women of the Armed Forces will say that they are not heroes, they will tell you that they are just doing their job. HELP for HEROES thinks that anyone who volunteers to serve in time of war, knowing that they may risk all, is a hero. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things and some of them are living with the consequences of their service for life. We may not be able to prevent our men and women from being wounded, but together we can help them get better. This challenge is going to bring civilian's and soldiers together on a new horizon. Guardsman Patrick Gallagher(Photo) who lost his right leg stepping on a mine during a tour of Afghanistan is a prime example of the reasons we are raising the awarness of the charity and proof that every penny helps. He is rehabilitating well with the aid from HELP for HEROES.
This ride is a one worth following and donating too, all proceeds go to HELP for HEROES
