Story
Yay - we did it!
teeing off at 4.40 we managed to complete all four rounds @ 9.15pm. We all feel a bit old and frail this morning, but very pleased and proud to have completed the challenge, and massively grateful for all the support you have shown
A fuller update and pictures will appear in the next few days...
Having clearly not learned our lesson of 3 years ago, 3 of the original 4 amigos - plus an unsuspecting new volunteer - are preparing to take on the Macmillan Longest Day Golf Challenge again, this year on Wednesday 22nd June
This involves Paul, Jeremy, Karl and Conrad completing 4 rounds of golf in one day - sounds simple but to achieve it we will be starting around 4.30am and hoping to finish before dark (by 10pm); we will walk 20+ miles, and each of us will play around 350 shots - generally a few more on the last round than the others!
Hopefully this will inflict enough pain and suffering for the non-golfers to be happy - all you golfers will appreciate the challenge already!
Your involvement is simple but significant - the fact that your are on this page means you are minded to support us, so that's all we are asking you to do. Macmillan Cancer Support really make a difference to people's lives when they need it most, so this is our way of giving something back
