Story
London to Liverpool cycle ride (L2L) - 6th-9th August 2012
One of the proudest days of my life was when our daughter, Evie Charis Wilson, was born. She came into the world kicking and screaming like the little fighter she is, and now she's a beautiful and healthy two year-old who is exuberant, witty, and a joy to be around. In short, we're very lucky to have her. She's our princess.
Not every family is as lucky as we are and so this summer I have set myself the challenge of cycling from my home on the Isle of Dogs, London, to Liverpool FC's ground, the legendary and world famous Anfield for the Europa League qualifier game on Thursday 9th August. A trip of approximately 270 miles. While it's going to be a tough ask, I can't think of anything more rewarding and worthwhile than raising a few quid for a wonderful charity called Post Pals who do amazing work in bringing some sunshine into the lives of critically ill children, their siblings, and their families.
So please donate and help children who are having a really hard time. If we each contribute a little, we can help a lot and give a whole bunch of very special smiles to kids who really deserve to know we're all behind them as they battle to overcome their illness.
The ride will take in the Grand Union Canal, the Mersey ferry, and miles and miles of stunning English countryside. This is my route:
Day 1 - London (E14) - Leighton Buzzard (60 miles)
Day 2 - Leighton Buzzard - Upper Snodsbury (nr Worcester) (85 miles)
Day 3 - Upper Snodsbury - Whitchurch (85 miles)
Day 4 - Whitchurch - Liverpool (50 miles)
Thank you very much!
