We fund vital research into neuroblastoma to find new and better treatments

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We have double sculled the river Thames from Lechlade to Putney (140 miles) over 4 days, finally arriving at Putney on Saturday evening on 16th June. We did this to raise money for The Neuroblastoma Society and in memory of our son, Locke, who died from this cancer on 26th May 2007, 6 months after diagnosis. Though Locke received excellent treatment and care at Addenbrooke's Hospital, not enough is known about the disease to cure many children. We think The Neuroblastoma Society is the best way of channelling funds towards a cure for this aggressive childhood cancer. Thank you for all your continuing support. Cherry and Guy [Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. The Neuroblastoma Society will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.]

Every week in the UK, around two families are told their child has neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. We fund leading research projects to deliver new, effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. With your help we can save more young lives.
