My dad ran the London Marathon twice, both times dressed as a pink fairy, raising money for CLIC Sargent (now Young Lives vs Cancer). In April 2027 I am running it for the first time, for Battersea, and, if I reach my donation target, I promise to dress as a pink fairy in his memory on the day.

Battersea is best known for the dogs and cats it takes in. But they also have fantastic education and grant arms too. Their training and grant funding reaches rescues, their staff and volunteers right across the country, including people I know and work alongside, and the ripple effect is immense.

I am also running in memory of two of Battersea's ambassadors, Sarah Fisher and Anthony Head. Sarah's teaching shaped how I work with dogs - it still does and always will.

Every pound goes to Battersea.
