Story
Hey, my name’s Liz Tunna.
At 6am on Saturday 25 May 2013 I will be trying to wake myself up as I commence a 145 mile non-stop run from Birmingham to London along the Grand Union Canal network. I will be hoping that the weather isn’t quite as rainy as last year and that I won’t have to resort to wearing a bin-bag in order to survive the race. I will have 45 hours to complete this challenge. And I know how tough this is. Yet, although I have completed this challenge before, I urge you to take into account the sheer insanity of willingly attempting to do this again...but it’s all for a fantastic cause!
Selfishly, it would help me immensely in knowing that as I run along this canal network for 145 miles that I will in some small way be helping those that are less fortunate than me. I would love to dedicate the running of this race to Hospice of the Good Shepherd. Not only do these guys do tremendous work, but it is a charity that is based fairly close to home and it’d be great to help out in any way that I can.
Please be as generous as you can. Failing this, any small amount at all would do ;-)
It’d be great to raise as much money as possible for such a wonderful organisation.
Donating through JustGiving is super eaaasssy, simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are always safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails because they're good like that!
Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Every penny will help - No matter how much you give, every little bit matters! :)
