Well we did it!!

The Smiths achieved 10 miles... between them. 

Evie came to wave me off and ended up doing a whole circuit with me, by which time my feet were killing me so at 5 miles we admitted defeat.  Even so, we had a fantastic night.  The atmosphere was brilliant and next year we are going to train properly and do 10 miles each.  :o)

When my darling dad finally lost his 4.5 year battle with lung cancer, it was the fantastic staff at St Giles that made his passing so much more bearable.  Their incredible 'At Home' team enabled him to be in his own bedroom, in his own bed, surrounded by his loved ones when he finally died.  If it is possible to have such a thing, his death was a good one, thanks to these amazing people.

I want to do my bit to say thank you for all they did for dad and for us as a family.  The money I raise will help to give other families the same love and support that we received through this terrible time.
