Story
On 9th August 2019 our son Sebastian was born. Almost immediately he was taken to the Neonatal Ward where he spent the next 6 days in the High Dependency unit and given life saving treatment.
Sebastian was diagnosed with Congenital CMV and after another 6 days in Special Care we were able to bring him home.
The care and support that everyone on the Neonatal Ward gave Sebastian was outstanding and we can't thank them enough.
Sebastian is still undergoing treatment and is doing really well but has been in and out of hospital more times than we wish to remember. He has been diagnosed with hearing loss and the care and support that the Audiology Department have, and continue to, give him has been amazing.
On Saturday 14th May I will abseil 154 feet from the top of the Southend Hospital Tower Block to raise money for the Neonatal Ward and Audiology Department at Southend Hospital. Please help us to show our support and appreciation for everything they have done, and continue to do for us.
