Story
So, once I get to start my Christmas leave at the end of next week, here is the plan. Friday 18th - Monday 21st December I will be running four marathons in four successive days from Wedtminster Abbey (fairly famous landmark!) to Gloucester Cathedral (almost my second home for most of my school years!)
As anyone who I went to school with, and many others may well know, a good friend of mine, Ed Partridge, was diagnosed with leukaemia in August, and we clearly aren't ok with this so are doing something about it!
So, in the spirit of the 12 days of Christmas, there are 12 days until I will be attempting this challenge and giving my body a bit of a battering in order to raise money for LINC .
This is one small event amongst many others which I'm just hoping will grab some people's attention, and make them realise how fortunate the majority of us are, especially around Christmas time when families get together for fun and festivities. There are people out there for whom we can genuinely make a difference, by helping donate what we can!
Here is Ed's page - please have a look and watch his video updates... https://www.facebook.com/Fezs-Fight-against-Cancer-1652115158379110
Ed's already done a brilliant job not just in dealing with the life changing situation that's been put in front of him, but also in setting up a Facebook page 'Fez's Fight Against Cancer', where friends are getting together to arrange all sorts of charitable events coordinated in order to raise £100,000 over the next 10 years for the different cancer charities.
Please take the time to drop whatever spare £s you may have to the justgiving site and DEFINITELY have a look at Fez's Fight Against Cancer page to give yourself a full rundown of what's been happening and the events coming up!
Thank you in advance to anyone who promotes Ed's page or who donates - it's hugely appreciated and it means the world to Ed and all of us.
Peace out!
