Story
I was meant to have finished this site on my 12th birthday and indeed thanks to all the support I got was able to hand CLIC SARGENT a cheque for over £70K on that day!
Unfortunately my cancer has returned but I'm still determined to raise as much money for CLIC SARGENT as possible whilst I'm going through treatment. Ideally I want to get to £100K
By donating to this site you are not only helping other families like mine but also me because I know that this site and my fundraising will keep me focused on getting better and at the same time support this great charity....So go on make our day!!!
You can follow my progress on STAR RADIO www.star107.co.uk where my mates MARK and TINY will let you know how I'm doing.
21/06/07 YIPEE WE HAVE DONE IT!!!! Thanks to the fundraising efforts of my mates in year 7 of SOHAM VILLAGE COLLEGE (raising over £3K) we have taken the figure over 100K. 14/07/07 Thanks to all at SOHAM UTD for the tremendous donation of £1K which I collected today. Soham is a great place to live coz the community really comes together as any one who attended the football tournament today could tell you. Special thanks to Rita Parker and her son Andy and all those who work tirelessly to make the club days like this a sucess. YOUR MONEY WILL MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE TO FAMILIES LIKE MINE :--) xxxx
25/07/07 Thanks to WITCHFORD COLLEGE and ST ANDREWS PRIMARY SCHOOL (SOHAM) who between them have raised £1K for my charity. I was amazed to break £100K but even more pleased with the continual local support which has already added another 10K to the total. That 10K will make an enormous difference to CLIC SARGENT so keep it coming!!!
03/09/2007 A week since coming back of my holiday and in that week we have raised almost 1K thanks to the following people; SARAH GAUSDEN who hosted a CANDLELITE PARTY at POPPIES in Soham and with the restuarant serving teas and coffees and a lady giving hand and feet massages managed to raise a magnificent £315. CHERRY HINTON FC who held a tournament and raised £200 thanks to DAVE HERON and his staff. Kate who held a wedding show in CAMBRIDGE yesterday and did a balloon release raising over £230 and the TURNER FAMILY of SOHAM who raised £200 at a private open day for vintage combines and machines....THANKYOU GUYS.
I would also like to thank DAVID PALMER the father of one of my schoolfriends who cycled from his home in WICKEN to HUNSTANTON raising £500 unfortunately I was on holiday so couldn't wave him off at start or finish...I don't know how he MANAGED THIS FEAT BECAUSE I GET PUFFED OUT CYCLING ROUND THE BLOCK!!! thankyou ;---)
23/09/07 Thanks to all those who took part in the PJ5K at WANDLEBURY yesterday and I hope you're legs aren't aching today. I'm now back at school full time, my hairs back and I'm currently well. The image now showing is of my school friends at Soham Town football club. We are aiming to buy another caravan for CLIC SARGENT so keep the money coming because time away as a family is so important when you're going thru treatment and I should know because we have been up to the first caravan for a break and had such great fun that for that time I forgot I had cancer!! You're money really does make a difference to families like mine and if we get another caravan it means more families can benefit from a break. SO THANKYOU xxx
