As I sit here and write this, words elude me, but tears do not. The dawn is approaching in Wales and soon my hero will be going to face his third battle. All of my love and prayers go with Mike, Jules, Dylan & Evan.

I first heard The Alarm on May, 15, 1986 and the music has truly been the soundtrack of my life. The music and inspiration has carried me through good and bad times.  I am truly honored and humbled to have even the smallest part of working with Love Hope Strength Foundation. I am honored to give back. 

The quilt is near completion and I am starting the raffle now in support of Mike. The funds raised will go to the LHS By Your Side Campaign. As the goal for By Your Side is £351,120 being £1 for every foot from Gwynedd Hospital to Glan Clwyd to Wrexham Maelor, my goal is £1 for every day since I first heard the Alarm, when I started the quilt. 

The quilt is made of 100 small poppies, 80 small LHS logos, 13 large poppies, 12 large LHS logos, 4 Welsh flags with Cymru Am Byth, 4 silk embroidered poppies and the lyrics to Walk Forever By Your Side in Welsh and English on the borders. The quilt squares are hand stenciled from my own hand cut stencils with hand painted details. The Welsh dragons will be outlined with hand spun black silk thread and the embroidered poppies are done from hand spun red silk thread.  The back is playing card fabric. The finished quilt will be nearly 7 feet square. 

It is has been a labor of love and an honor to make. Lord willing, I will be attending the Gathering in January and presenting a quilt to Mike, like this one for the studio.
