Story
Hi All,
Well, I have decided to do some MORE work for charity. The Noon Walk back in October ignited the flame for me to challenge myself greater than I ever have done before, so I decided to take on the Brighton Marathon on April 18th.
For the past 2 months I have been in training, running 5 times a week in all weather including the snow. Unfortunately for me this has to continue up to the big day.
Between December 2009 and April 2010, I will have to complete a total of 470 miles as part of my training program, to ensure that I am as prepared as possible. At present (12/01/2010) I have completed 89 miles, which is bang on target.
So this is where you come in...
The Martlets is local hospice in Hove, helping the terminally ill live as full a life as possible during the later stages. So to help this fantastic charity I want to raise a minimum of £500.
This year the Hospice needs your support more than ever – they are facing some tough times. They are not part of the NHS - it costs over £4 million a year to run the Hospice. Only £1 million of this comes from government funding. As all their services are provided free of charge, you can see how reliant they are on support from the local community. support from people like you.
Any amount that you can sponsor me would be most gratefully recieved and will go a long way to caring for people in their time of need, I ask you as a friend to help me, for this fantastic charity.
Many Thanks
Leon
