Story
Hi, I'm going to take 3 days (and nights outside) to walk about 40 miles between the two pieces of land owned by Buddhafield. Our land at Broadhembury, in the Blackdown Hills, is very dear to me a s a sacred space. It was here that I had my first contact with Buddhafield. At that time I was living rough and selling the Big Issue. I received a warm welcome and support, ending up doing increasing amounts of voluntary work and finally moving into one of their communities.
I will start the walk at Broadhembury and finish at our other site, Frog Mill, situated in the Dartmoor National Park. This land comprises 17 acres of meadow and wooded land divided by Blackaton Brook - a salmon spawning river frequented by kingfishers and dippers. The site is used for some of our larger retreats, including a family-friendly event. Buddhafield has paid off over £50,000 on this land. If 150 people can raise £200 each, there will be nothing more to pay. Then Buddhafield's resources can be applied to developing both sites for the benefit of all.
Buddhafield is committed to protecting the land and building human relationships with nature. Both sites will be developed along permacultural lines, creating a sustainable and beautiful environment for our events and the wider community. If you become a donor, or think of a way you can raise £200 for Buddhafield yourself, you will be helping to build a nurturing environment for future generations.
Much love, Leif
