I will be walking From Penrith to Ravenglass covering 53.5 miles. In aid of Derian House Children's Hospice. The walk will take place over 4 days starting 9th September 2009. The Roman way offers a fine route through the lakes, where walkers literally march in the footsteps of Roman soldiers, passing through the remains of 4 Roman forts. The itinerary is as follows

Day one: Penrith to Pooley bridge 10 miles

Day two: Pooley bridge to Troutbeck 16 miles

Day three: Troutbeck to Boot 20 miles

Day four: Boot to Ravenglass 7.5 miles
