Story
JEN WEAVER 1978-2006
On 20/07/2006 at 01:00, an incredibly brave and unbelievably courageous young woman died in Montana, U.S.A. I never met Jen but have followed her progress and her constant fight against chronic granulomatous disease. She has been an inspiration to me whilst trying to raise these funds and to a great (great doesn't even begin to describe them) bunch of people I know from as far afield as Australia, New Zealand, America, Czech Republic, Latvia, Israel, India and also back here in the UK. I will be taking a picture of Jen with me on my trek in October and in doing so dedicate the trip to her and to her memory.

As some of you may be aware, I was supposed to be donating bone marrow in December 2004. Unfortunately, the recipient became to ill to go through with the procedure and the transplant never took place. Since that time I have been thinking of ways to raise money for the charity to help in some other way and have decided to walk the Inca Trail Trek in Peru in October 2006. This will take place over 10 days, walking 8 hours a day for at least 5 days, across difficult terrain and sometimes at over 4000 metres altitude.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Anthony Nolan Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please help me raise funds for this very important charity and help save lives. Many thanks for your support.
