 I am taking my recently rejuvenated, but still very small, wooden sloop Kumalie on a sailing passage round mainland UK. Various crew, with a wide spectrum of experience and ability are joining at different points en route and testing themselves in some of the most challenging sailing conditions in these latitudes, with some overnight passages where required.

The Challenge is whether Kumalie, nearly 50, and having lain out of the water for 6 years is still capable of such a trip and also whether the skipper and most of the crew , (who have not been rejuvenated) are up to it.

The two charities Multiple Sclerosis research, and Brain Tumour research both require constant funding to get the breakthrough needed to attack these disabling conditions and any help is warmly appreciated.
