I am raising money for a Birmingham Childrens Hospital who saved my niece Abbie's life when she was a few hours old.  Abbie was born with Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula (TOF), this affects one in every 3500 babies and requires surgical correction.  Thankfully BCH were able to correct this.  Since then Abbie has had many admissions to the intensive care unit one of them due to pneumonia where she was put on life support.  Thankfully Abbie is doing well so now its my time to show my gratitude to BCH for all that they have done for her.

I am in a relay team doing a triathlon, my part is the 5K run.  This is the first time I have done anything like this but will not let my team mates or #TEAMHELEN down.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
