Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 5th July 2014 I, along with a few other kilted friends will be walking from Wallasey to Chester to raise funds for The Province of Cheshire 2016 Festival to support The Masonic Samaritan Fund. All donations raised will be passed directly to the charity.

None of us know if or when we may need to call on help or suffer illness or disease where treatment is limited.

The Masonic Samaritan Fund has given close to £1 million pounds to medical research charities including Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Arthritis UK and Age Concern.  MSF also provides grants to Freemasons and their dependents who have an identified health or care needs and, faced with a long wait for treatment, care and support, would experience prolonged suffering. Other charities to have benefited include Cure Parkinson's Trust, (£144,710), The University of West England in support of  developing a sensor to diagnose Alzheimer's (£26,000), Prostate Cancer UK (£34,625), The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, Motor Neurone desease Association, (£57,,207), Marie Curie (£60,004).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please please give WHATEVER YOU CAN from pennies to pounds to support the charity. Thankyou

Gareth
