Story
A life long Ayr United supporter is about to make the ultimate sacrifice for his daughter. Stuart Wren is running the Edinburgh Marathon on 31st May in aid of raising funds for The Butterfly Trust. This is a small Scottish Charity that provides essential support services to people affected by Cystic Fibrosis throughout Scotland. This is a charity close to Stuart’s heart because his 2 year old daughter has Cystic Fibrosis.
Stuart’s friend who is a Kilmarnock supporter has challenged Stuart to run the marathon in a Kilmarnock F.C top if enough money is raised first. Naturally, initially Stuart was reluctant as he has been an Ayr supporter since he was little, but came round to the idea because it would raise money to help other families in the same position as his.
Make a die hard AUFC fan's day worse and raise MORE money than the AYR supporters by 5pm on Fri 22nd May for Stuart to WEAR the top by making a donation today. As a fan yourself you will know the rivalry between the 2 clubs so don't make Stuart have to endure wearing his rival teams' colours by letting the Killie fans raise more than you.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Butterfly Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
This is a big ask of someone who wouldn’t normally put a price on loyalty for his team, as I am sure most supporters would agree, however, this is a personal mission for Stuart and for a great cause. So make your donation today and ensure AYR DON'T WIN!!
