Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Between the 17th and 27th of September 2010, I will be attempting to trek to the top of Africa's highest peak, Mt Kilimanjaro, to raise money for The Pickering Centre in Tunbridge Wells.

The Pickering Centre is a wonderful place where those suffering from Cancer (or indeed their loved ones) can spend some time with people who have gone / are going through the same journey, receive some free therapy and counselling or whatever they need.  It relies entirely on charitable donations and is staffed by volunteers

My own dear Mum is currently on a journey of her own and I am taking on this challenge for her, and in loving memory of my father-in-law, Bryan, who we sadly lost to this horrible disease two years ago.

You can also follow my preparation and attempt on my blog @ http://kilimanjarokev.blogspot.com/ or follow me on Twitter http://twitter.com/kevcorb

Please note that I am funding all the costs of the trip myself, so every penny you donate goes directly to the charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
